Arrange FTR_BY_WLP's three windows on your screen as you like it:

Overview

Surely you ask yourself "what the hell are the gray lines in GazeX and GazeY?". Close your eyes while tracking, and you will understand that the lines denote eye blinks.

You should start your exploration of the software by playing with the buttons and options at the top of the the main window (1). This may avoid reading the rest of this boring documentation.

Do not change the detection parameters. They are already set to optimal values on startup. You may waste a lot of time if you try to do better.

Instead, concentrate on the camera property page and try to get a sharp and clear, but not over-exposed picture in the source window (2). Switch on the LEDs, the program looks for a dot-shaped cornea reflex near the estimated center of the pupil.

The video preview window (3) shows what's written into a video file if the "Capture to file" option is switched on. A video example can be found on YouTube (my YouTube nick name is piechulla1966).

The black square (4) is a gaze target popup window.

Comments, questions, critique, and the usual bashing (I can do without the latter) should be posted on YouTube. Longer problem reports should be e-mailed to just4fun@walterpiechulla.de
